Just put my Limited 3CD Last Train to Lhasa on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4724128865 Price is fixed at $50 (about 26 Quid) So no bidding wars. Unemployment forces sale :-( Thanks Rich
Don't sell it Rich, you'll only regret it another day.
You were right I ended up pulling it off Ebay. I couldn't part with it ;-) Rich
That's marvelous news.
Ive got a Last Train 3CD. Are they collectable? i had no idea. I would never part with mine tho, and its far far far too beat up for anyone to buy it. Disc 1 has cracks and seriously deep scratches running across the surface - its a miracle it still plays. Must be something to do with the content ;-)
Apparently so, bought the triple album a few weeks ago on e.bay for a friend and it cost ?36.99, did hear a little while ago that one copy had sold for ?65, dunno how true that is though, I paid ?7.49 for my copy back in 1995
Funnily enough theres one on ebay now! ?5.55 with 1 day to spare. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1572&item=4724285351&rd=1
"did hear a little while ago that one copy had sold for ?65" .....i sold the 3CD version on eBay for 58 quid a while back - that was a spare, i hasten to add! so definitely worth picking up if you see one going cheap (2 quid in Cash Convertors in that case). ;)
I FINALLY scored one of those just a few months ago and paid some serious scratch for it ( total cost including shipping to USA was $85.00 ). I have been outbid on that thing for literally 5 years! I had enough and went in with a strong bid. Definitely worth it to have one of the greatest albums of all time with 8 hours of music!
I've just received my triple CD set. Somehow I managed to score a "Buy It Now" deal on Ebay on Sunday for only ?16.50!
What a bargain, brought my mate a copy a few weeks ago, the best moment was seeing her face when she realised what it was, she has'nt stopped playing it yet. Gelaar, totally agree with you about it being best album of all time, and my most played album in ten years along side glastonbury live 1995. It's certainly entertained me over the years, absorb and enjoy...........
It saddens me to do this !!!! But I have put the following up for grabs on E-Bay......please let them go to a good home ! but more importantly I see Bob is also selling VINTAGE BUCKS FIZZ GREATEST TV MOMENTS VOL 1,2,3,4,5 & 6!!! surely worth a look.. Which brings me to another question.. whats the most embarrassing thing in your music collection?.. mines probably the greatest hits of rolf harris (although theres a good alanis morrissette cover... "I've got one hand in my pocket.. and the other is fingering my didgeridoo!!!") a class act if ever there was one....
Anyone got the even more ltd (I think) 4LP version? Haven't seen that on ebay for a while!
I have... its magic... bought in Plymouth in 1999 for 15 quid!
