I hope this finds you and yours well in these unusual times. All of us at Banco towers, and all in the wider Disco Gecko family, are currently fine.
I’ve been using the time out from normal life to work on Banco tunes (more on which next month) and have just finished remastering “Igizeh” and the companion disc that will make up this year’s 20th Anniversary Edition. Pre-orders are now available from my website, with an official release date of July 10th. As before, I’m happy to sign any pre-orders made, and can add simple dedications, but to allow time for them to be delivered (postal services are understandably a bit wonky at the mo), these requests will need to be in by June 26th.
I’ve also been overseeing the recent releases on my Disco Gecko label: in anticipation of new material, 100th Monkey dug out the last three tracks from his archive to create “More Miscellany“; Animat commissioned five remixes of tunes from their “All is Lost” album for the “Undercurrents” EP; Dragonfly Trio have dropped two more singles from their forthcoming second album and Andrew Heath has just released a brand new album, “A Trace of Phosphor“. Follow my playlists on Spotify or Deezer to keep up to date with our releases.
I was supposed to be playing in Hay-on-Wye at the end of this month, but that’s been cancelled, as has “Little Chill” festival, but as yet have had no update on the status of Maui Waui festival at the end of August. I’ll post updates on Facebook and Twitter when I know more, and it’s worth keeping on eye on them in case any livestream activities occur. It’s very likely Patrick Dunn and I will be collaborating on a livestream on May 30th, and quite possibly again the weekend of June 19-21.
