Thanks to everyone who came to my Liverpool debut a few weeks ago – after that reception, I’ll come back as soon as I can.
The 30 Times Around the Sun tour starts again next weekend: on Friday 18th I’m playing a DJ set in Sheffield to help Animat launch their new album (available to pre-order here) and then the following day I’m playing a live set at the long running Musicport festival in Whitby. I’m also playing, with Andrew Heath, the final ‘Motion’ show of the year on Sunday afternoon.
Friday 15th November finds me at Eco Park in Truro, and the next night I’m playing a double header with Eat Static in Exeter, which, if the shows we played in Frome back in April are anything to go by, will be off the hook.
The following weekend I’m at Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 22nd, and then in London at the Sebright Arms on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th. The first London show with dr trippy has totally sold out and there will be no door sales. I’m being joined by original Banco member Andy Guthrie AKA 100th Monkey for the second show and as it’s a Sunday and an earlier start time, I thought I’d focus as much on down- to mid-tempo tracks as well as the classics.
Finally I make a long awaited return to Prague on Friday 29th November to play at the Rock Cafe.
There are plenty of releases scheduled on my Disco Gecko label: the video for “With Iron (South)” by Toby Marks & Andrew Heath came out yesterday, Animat‘s new album is out 18th October, Dragonfly Trio’s next single is on 1st November and dr trippy has an EP pencilled for 15th November, as does 100th Monkey. To keep in touch, please follow my Spotify playlist, the cunningly titled Disco Geckoes.
Cheers
Toby
