I hope that you’ve had a great summer – I’ve certainly enjoyed mine. Highlights include performing “Motion” with Andrew Heath at The Little Chill and Samsara festivals, and playing Banco sets at Bearded Theory, Whirlyfayre and Beautiful Days festivals.
2019 marks 30 years of making tunes as Banco de Gaia, something I marked at the start of the year with the “30 Times Around the Sun” retrospective. Carrying on the celebrations, I’ve decided to also make my entire digital catalogue on Bandcamp available in one bundle at a 30% discount – 26 releases in all (shame it isn’t 30!) for £100. Head over to http://bancodegaia.bandcamp.com/ should this offer tickle your fancy.
I have a run of shows coming up: my debut gig in Liverpool at the end of September, a DJ set in Sheffield to help Animat launch their new album, a live slot at the long running Musicport festival in Whitby (where I’m also playing with Andrew), a double header with Eat Static in Exeter in November and then two weekends later a show in Prague (see below for ticket links for all shows). My London show on November 23rd has now sold out so I’ve decided to play on Sunday 24th as well, this time focusing on down- to mid-tempo tracks as well as on the classics.
Finally, to keep up to date with releases on my Disco Gecko label, of which there are a fair few coming up, please follow my Spotify playlist, the cunningly titled Disco Geckoes.
Cheers
Toby
